Piano and String Orchestra
This piece is an older work composed during college for my good friend Jessica Chen. It is a single movement mini-concerto for piano and string orchestra. I wanted to work through a number of contrasting sections in a short amount of time. Perhaps because of the piece’s brevity I decided it would be best to begin with the piano cadenza. The work was commissioned by the Timothy Dwight chamber players.
